We are taking proactive steps to minimise our carbon footprint across every stage of our operations — from supply and production through to distribution
Low Carbon Aluminium
At JB Aluminium, sustainability is at the heart of what we do. We are committed to reducing carbon emissions and are proud to be able to offer aluminium profiles made from Low Carbon billets where required.
Exclusively through JB Aluminium, we can offer RecycAL 4.0 aluminium with a carbon footprint below 4.0kgCO₂/kg across our full facade systems range at no extra cost. This compares with a global average of 16.7kgCO₂/kg and a European average of 6.7kgCO₂/kg. By working closely with our supply chain, we ensure our customers have the option to choose products that meet the highest industry standards while significantly lowering the carbon intensity of buildings.
For projects requiring even lower embodied carbon, we can also offer RecycAL 1.9, with just 1.86kgCO₂/kg – one of the lowest commercially available in the UK. Produced with a minimum of 75% post-consumer scrap, this billet is available on a project-by-project basis.
